Mahler Symphony No. 5

Where: Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center | 2301 Flora St.

What: The performance of Mahler’s Fifth Symphony will be paired with Anna Clyne’s Piano Concerto for a night of strings, harp, and piano. The show will feature the world premiere of Clyne’s concerto and piano performed by Jeremy Denk. To reserve tickets, click here.

Giordano Dance Chicago

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Winspear Opera House | 2403 Flora St.

What: Giordano Dance Chicago is known as America’s original jazz dance company, and the group is celebrating 60 years. The dance company is making its way down to Dallas for its North Texas contemporary jazz debut. To buy tickets, click here.

Easter Family Fun Weekend

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Sunday, March 31

Where: The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden | 8525 Garland Rd.

Circus Vazquez

Where: Riders Field | 7300 Roughriders Trl., Frisco

Big Art Day

Where: Granville Arts Center | 300 N. Fifth St., Garland

Easter in Turtle Creek Park

When: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: 3333 Turtle Creek Blvd.

SUN-DAY Pre-Eclipse Festival

When: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Frontiers of Flight Museum | 6911 Lemmon Ave.

What: If you have your eclipse plans all lined up, but still find yourself wanting to learn more, head to this pre-eclipse event. The festival will include lessons on safely viewing the eclipse, talks by astrophotographer and lunar expert Robert Reeves and children’s book author Jayme Sanberg, and a show inside the planetarium dome. Thee Phantom & The Illharmonic Orchestra

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: The Majestic Theatre

What: Listen to a combination of hip-hop and orchestra music with Thee Phantom & The Illharmonic Orchestra this weekend. The group features an MC, a DJ, and vocalists accompanying strings, piano, and horns. To see the show, click here.

Sweeney Todd

When: 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. showtimes
